How To Create SUNSETS on ANY type of IMAGES with these TIPS using Snapseed and Lightroom Mobile Apps
- increasing the Shadows a little to
- recover some details from the darker
- parts
- reducing the highlights to recover some
- clouds
- also a little contrast
- next we are gonna darken the image to
- get the pop where the bright sunlight is
- needed using curves dragging the top
- Point down to darken making a little
- curve here
- next with masking tapping on the stacks
- icon on the top right new edits curves
- and brush
- here with the effect enabled and the
- brush value at 0 I am gonna zoom out to
- the maximum
- and just tap on the spot where the
- source of the light will be created
- also with the transparency at 50 tapping
- on the flowers to get some light back
- there
- now for Selective filters
- one here on the sky where I'm gonna
- saturate the Blues
- one on the greens
- brightening and adding saturation
- one on these buildings for more
- saturation
- also on these flowers
- more brightness and saturation for them
- to pop
- next I'm gonna try adding some more
- color to the blue sky but before I'm
- gonna add vintage filter with the preset
- 12
- decrease in the midnight strength for a
- subtle effect
- then with masking removing the effect on
- the structures and flowers to retain the
- light there
- colors to the darker part of the sky
- adding more Blues
- by moving the green curve towards right
- for an overall purpley Stone
- then with masking removing the effect on
- the foreground
- next to add brightness on the source of
- the light with warm colors in curves
- lifting the blacks
- adding lot of yellows by dragging the
- blue coat down
- also adding some red
- then with masking first I roughly apply
- it around the middle
- value to 0 carefully trying to remove
- the effect on the structures surrounding
- the source of the light
- also adding a bit of light on the stream
- of water
- for more color on the same Parts I'm
- going to add lot of temperature
- and red tint
- with masking applying it
- thank you
- I still feel there is some pop missing
- on the light source we'll deal with it a
- bit later
- taking time here to get fine selection
- please
- now for some Dodge and burn with the
- brush tool with the brush valid plus 5
- brushing on the structures to get more
- brightness
- also with value at -5 darkening these
- parts to create some soft Shadows
- next to selectively apply some contrast
- first I'm gonna apply soft contrast
- preset in curves
- with masking applying It On All Parts
- other than sky and water foreign
- to the source I am gonna again lift the
- blacks which literally crushes all the
- dark spots
- also adding lot of yellows and some red
- to get that orange stone
- with masking just tapping to make the
- light source a lot brighter
- I already got the desired colors here
- but for some final touches I'm gonna
- move to the Lightroom app the reason
- being I get better results especially
- for sharpening the image
- moving the masking slider to get the
- desired selection on the buildings and
- the flowers
- adding sharpening to these parts
- also adding some texture for more pop
- and here is the final vibrant look
- here is the image opened in Lightroom
- app in horizontal orientation with the
- menus on the right
- first some basic tuning starting in the
- light menu
- I'm gonna start by reducing the
- highlights a bit to get details mainly
- from the sky
- little increase in the shadows for
- details from the darker parts
- reducing the overall exposure just a bit
- tuning the whites and blacks to give the
- brightest and darkest Parts more punch
- also a little contrast
- now going to the selective edits
- here I will be using the graduated and
- Radial filters
- first graduated filter on the top left
- corner where I am going to decrease the
- exposure to make that part dark
- also reducing the saturation
- one more at the bottom to make it darker
- Ty to give it some pop
- filters
- first one here on the sun dragging it to
- make it bigger
- and rotating it a bit
- in the light menu on the right adding
- little more brightness
- in the color menu increasing the
- temperature to make it more warm
- also bit of red tint
- one more radial filter which will cover
- larger part of the sky
- increasing the highlights
- little contrast
- blacks to make it overall bright
- making it more warm and adding some tint
- now one radial filter on the main
- subjects
- increasing whites for a brighter look
- also adding Clarity to give it some pop
- pressing on the same to get a duplicate
- of the same filter
- moving it to the wall on the left
- here I'm going to reset the clarity but
- increasing the whites and shadows to
- give it a foggy look
- so here are the before and after push
- the selective edits
- now moving to the color menu mix for
- some individual color training
- first Blues which affects the clothes on
- the subjects moving the Hues little
- towards aqua and adding more brightness
- now the yellows increasing the luminance
- for more brightness
- more towards yellows
- oranges which also affects the sunlight
- a little towards red
- Ness
- menu adding overall Vibrance
- next to the split tone in the effects
- adding some orangish tones to the
- highlights
- and blue is turned to the Shadows to
- give the image some color contrast
- next for some sharpening in the detail
- menu
- dragging the masking slider to get the
- selection
- topping around here
- so only the white parts will be
- sharpened here
- now adding some sharpening to these
- parts
- menu
- tuning contrast here
- brightening the highlights darkening the
- Shadows
- and lifting the blacks just a little for
- a matte finish
- some final touches here
- Here's the final result
- seeing the image first thing that came
- to my mind is there is not enough Sky
- which can make it look a lot better
- but first i'm gonna use perspective tool
- to give it a wide angle look
- using the Tilt option I'm gonna drag it
- a little upwards to give it a different
- perspective
- snapshots AI does pretty well to fill up
- the blank spaces
- now to expand vertically using the
- expand tool and select to smart option
- which again tries to fill up the blank
- space
- drag the upper part to elongate the
- image
- as you can see the smart tool filled up
- the sky
- using the same option once more to
- further stretch the sky
- as you can see the smart option is after
- all not so smart especially in this case
- so to rectify it I'm going to use double
- exposure tool and add an evening Sky
- image and rotate it and place it
- somewhere like this
- increasing the opacity to 100
- then with masking tapping on the stacks
- icon view edits the large Double
- Exposure filter and brush here with the
- effect disabled and the bridge value at
- 100 Brushing in the sky to recover the
- new clouds
- reducing the brush value to zero and
- trying to recover details on this Tower
- next I'm going to straighten the image
- manually with the rotate tool
- going to tune image will try here to
- recover few details from the darker
- parts by increasing the Shadows
- next couple of edits with the selective
- filters as I'm gonna darken the sky
- first darkening this part of the sky
- next adding some saturation to the
- structure
- now I'm gonna darken the image by
- dragging the top point of the curve down
- making a little curve here
- masking getting back the details on the
- structure selectively
- as I'm going to get the source of the
- light on the left using Dodge and burn
- with the brush tool I am going to try to
- get more light around the left of the
- structure
- with the brush valid Phi brushing on
- this part to brighten them
- value of negative 5 making the Shadows
- more pronounced
- software Dodge and burn
- next to get bright light on the left
- part of the image using curves I'm going
- to lift the blacks
- masking applying it around here to give
- it the effect of light on the left part
- of the image
- next few selective filters to brighten
- parts of the sky a bit
- also one around the middle of the
- structure where I'm gonna give it more
- contrast
- masking work to get some details back
- here
- now with curves I'm gonna add some warm
- colors to the image
- adding some brightness
- dragging the blue code down to add some
- yellows
- and then some red to the overall image
- now to get some bright light to the
- source adding lot of brightness in tune
- image
- then with masking applying it with
- various levels of transparency around
- the left parts
- using the same steps we'll try to
- further and brighten the light source
- thank you
- after these changes in Snapseed I'm
- gonna move this to Lightroom to make the
- image pop further with colors
- here in Lightroom first I'm going to
- increase the wires to make the brightest
- Parts pop
- next to the split tone in the FX menu
- adding warmer tones to the highlights by
- selecting orangish color
- adding bluish tones to the shadows for
- some contrast
- next to the hsl sliders in the color
- menu mix moving the blue huge towards
- aqua
- darkening it by reducing the luminance
- enlarge towards Orange
- decreasing the saturation a bit
- moving the orange juice towards red
- ing saturation and luminance to the red
- colors which affects the colors in the
- sky also the red elements in the
- foreground
- similar tuning on the magentas
- adding Vibrance to the overall image
- now to sharpen the structure in the
- detail menu moving the masking slider
- with two fingers to selectively get the
- masking on the structure
- going to the Curves in light menu
- adding some contrast to the overall
- image
- reducing the saturation of the Blues
- just a little
