How to TUNE COLORS Only on Select Areas in Lightroom and Snapseed Free Apps | Android | iOS

  • Here after importing this image into Lightroom, I am gonna crop this to get this nice composition.
  • Now going to Light menu, some basic tuning.
  • Reducing Highlights to bring some details back in the sky.
  • Also increasing Whites to make the brighter parts pop.
  • This I am gonna save it as a separate copy.
  • Next to the Color menu>MIX for HSL sliders.
  • Here I will be targeting the leaves on the tree, will try to convert to pinkish color.
  • There are actually two colors yellow and greens for which we will be changing the hues.
  • We will move these colors to magenta here in the color mix.
  • Now I am gonna move the yellow hues towards green, green hues towards aqua.
  • There are not much aquas here, so will ignore it.
  • You can see the colors changing.
  • Now I am gonna save this image.
  • I will import it again as a separate edit.
  • Now opening it and going to color menu mix.
  • Now moving the green and aqua hues towards right to aqua and blues respectively.
  • Again saving this and importing again.
  • Will do this couple more times till I reach magenta.
  • Here's the result.
  • After saving this, I am gonna open Snapseed app and import the first saved image.
  • Using Double Exposure, adding the last saved image of this.
  • Setting the opacity at 100.
  • Applying it.
  • Going to masking screen.
  • Here with the image hidden and brush value set at 100, brushing on the tree to get the
  • spring colors.
  • Now will do few more edits to make the overall image pop.
  • First Selective filters.
  • One on the tree to make the colors brighter and also bit more saturated.
  • One on the yellows to make them pop.
  • Next one selective filter around the middle on the sky to make it bright.
  • Now will add vignette with the Vintage filter and preset 12.
  • Going to masking screen, removing the effect on the tree and bit on the foreground to make
  • it more interesting.
  • Next one selective filter around the middle on the sky to make it bright.
  • Using Curves, I am gonna lift the blacks.
  • Also the reds and greens to get this tint.
  • Now in the masking screen, applying it around the center to get this nice effect.
  • Again going to Curves, will try to add some color to the highlights.
  • Adding some yellows.
  • Also reds for orangish tones.
  • This will mainly affect the bright spot in the middle to get this look.
  • I am gonna export this image to Lightroom for some final color tuning.
  • In the color menu mix, moving the green hues more towards yellow.
  • Trying to brighten the magentas.
  • Going to color grading, adding more orangish tones to the highlights.
  • In Light menu, decreasing the blacks a bit.
  • Going to Effects menu, bit of vignette.

Using Curves to tune final contrast.
